After Red Dot, Panzeri lamps are in contention for the German Design Award
23/07/2018After gaining awards at Essen, Viisi and AlDecimo are in line for another prestigious accolade.
On July 9th, Panzeri Carlo Srl was at the Red Dot 2018 gala dinner, where awards were given out in tribute to the best designers and manufacturers of the year. In the Aalto-Theater in Essen (Germany), Enzo Panzeri walked away with two certificates of recognition for his family business: the ‘Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018‘ for the Viisi suspension lamp (design by MinelliFossati) and an ‘Honourable Mention‘ for the AlDecimo wall lamp, designed by Carmen Ferrara and engineered by Enzo Panzeri himself.
The ‘Red Dot Design Award‘ is aimed at all those who distinguish themselves with high quality design capability. The winners are selected by a jury of experts in product and communications design.
NEW CANDIDATES FOR THE GERMAN DESIGN AWARD
It was Panzeri Carlo Srl’s first time at the Red Dot Gala, however Germany isn’t finished with news about Viisi and AlDecimo. The two lamps have been included as nominees for the ‘German Design Award’ 2019 by the German Design Council. In the next few weeks we will know whether the two Panzeri lighting products will carry over from the Special Mentions already received by the Jackie (2016) table lamp and the Panzeri Rings Collection (2017). The awards ceremony will be in Frankfurt on February 8th, 2019.
PANZERI IS ALSO IN GERMANY
Since the end of 2016, Panzeri presides over Germany’s large lighting market from its ‘Panzeri&Partners‘ branch. The showroom is located in Karlsplatz, in the very center of Munich, the German capital of illumination.
