Designed as an urban retreat where understated luxury meets a deep connection with the local context, this hotel stands as a compelling example of contemporary interior design, crafted by the studio Spagnulo & Partners. It is an eclectic project that draws from deeply Milanese elements—such as color palettes inspired by the 1960s—and blends them with diverse international influences, creating a sophisticated and authentic atmosphere.
The goal was clear: to create a space that conveys warmth, authenticity, and a strong sense of belonging to its urban surroundings. The inspiration came from the Milanese neighborhood that surrounds the hotel—a vibrant, dynamic area whose identity is reflected in the design details, paying homage to tradition while embracing modern accents and a cosmopolitan spirit.
Every element has been thoughtfully designed to surprise, without ever compromising on comfort. The aim was to make each guest feel at home, striking a perfect balance between elegance and familiarity.
Light plays a central role in shaping the ambiance. Refined color palettes are paired with a carefully curated lighting design, fully integrated into the interior concept to enhance materials, furnishings, and architectural features. Lighting solutions by Panzeri were selected for their ability to create warm, welcoming atmospheres, using dimmable LED sources that adapt to different times of day.
Natural light also plays a key role, optimized through the use of large glazed surfaces and adjustable shading systems. This approach combines aesthetics with sustainability, helping to reduce energy consumption while enhancing visual comfort for guests.
The result is a unique place where design meets heritage, and innovation blends seamlessly with comfort—a true urban retreat in the heart of Milan.
