2017 was the year of an important anniversary for Panzeri Carlo S.r.l. In 1947, Carlo and his wife Irene founded the company initially specialised in manufacturing components for lighting fittings. After seventy years, the Italian company is a consolidated reality in the almost zero-kilometer production of products for decorative and architectural lighting. This is confirmed by the growing trend in recent years and the positive results also in 2017.
THE OVERALL TREND OF 2017
For the fourth consecutive year, Panzeri has closed with an increase in orders (+4%). Exports drive the growth recording a new double-digit increase, +19% confirming the international vocation.

La maggior parte dei prodotti è venduta in Italia, Lombardia e Piemonte sono le regioni con le migliori performance di crescita” – commenta Federico Panzeri, General Sales Manager dell’azienda di famiglia – “Il nostro paese pesa per il 51% del fatturato totale, diviso equamente tra Contract e Retail. Nel 2018, la nostra strategia commerciale per l’Italia avrà come obiettivo quello di puntare sempre di più sul mondo della progettazione.”
“Orders have increased and we have consolidated our turnover at the level of the best result of our seventy years (€ 9.5 million). Most of the products are sold in Italy, Lombardy and Piedmont are the regions with the best growth performance” – comments Federico Panzeri, General Sales Manager of the family business – “Our domestic market accounts for 51% of total turnover, divided equally between Contract and Retail. In 2018, our commercial strategy for Italy will aim to increasingly focus on the project business.”
“Outside the border, the focus on internationalization in recent years has led export markets to now count for 49%” adds Federico Panzeri. The countries of reference are, in order of importance, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, United States and Canada, France, India, Russia, Spain, Lebanon and United Kingdom.
THE 5 (+3) BEST-SELLING PRODUCTS OF THE YEAR
The category of Design lamps is the most popular category (51% of products sold), followed by Architectural (40%) and Custom products (9%). The Best Sellers of the past year are the Rings, with the Golden Ring and Silver Ring respectively in first and second position. This is followed by, among the top 5, the award-winning table lamp Jackie, the wall lamp Toy and Brooklyn Round, the suspension lamp but also a modular system. The latter is the best-selling product among the 2017 new products presented in April at Euroluce, at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. This is followed by the Viisi suspension lamps, designed by Minelli and Fossati, and Giano (also available in modular system version).
THE 2 INTERNATIONAL AWARDS
One of the 2017 new products has earned recognition for the quality of design by industry experts. The AlDecimo wall lamp, designed by architect Carmen Ferrara and engineered by Enzo Panzeri, has won two awards: the Archiproducts Design Award in the lighting category and the Light Middle East Award as “Decorative Wall Lighting product of the year”.
HOW THE COMPANY WILL OPEN 2018
In February (6-10), Panzeri will take part in the Interior Mebel exhibitions in Kiev and Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. To consolidate its presence on the German market, one of the most important in Europe, Panzeri will exhibit with its stand, in March, at the 2018 edition of the Light + Building fair in Frankfurt.
Panzeri will also continue to invest in the company’s growth in the New Year. The new 1,000-square-meter warehouse is now almost ready and operational, adjacent to the headquarters in via Padania. More space and greater efficiency to meet the ever-increasing market demand.
